Assessments

Assessments are only as useful as your commitment to pull through the value they can provide when you understand the results and how to put them to work to lift results, teamwork, and performance. During our up front discussion and throughout our engagement, we will discuss how certain assessments would help further your development of self-awareness and resulting increased skills and leadership fitness.

The following are assessments among which I select the appropriate ones to use with my clients.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) Assessment (Steps I & II)*

Understand your own preferred operating styles and learn how they work for you and against you. I’ll work with you to learn how to make the most of the type your are. and show you how it combines with your other personality characteristics. Armed with this insight, you will be able to align more effectively with others and produce better results. I can also pull other sub-reports from the main assessment such as:

  • Work Styles Report which can improve communication by comparing/contrasting you and 1 other person. This report will enhance awareness of what will work well and what will need special attention.
  • Team Report which shows the strengths of a team and where their blind spots will most likely be and how they can work most productively together. Great for project teams who don’t normally work with each other but need to bond fast and know how to work optimally with each other.
  • Career Report which shows how your preferences line up with certain job classifications and areas you may find the most job satisfaction based on your type preferences in conjunction with other aspects of your personality, skills, interests and values.

The Leadership Practices Inventory

The Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) is a multi-rater (360°) assessment that is directed toward the executive leader. It is reliable and valid and its norm group is refreshed and updated as more people take this assessment. This keeps the norming group relevant and up to date with current populations taking the assessment. The LPI is an effective tool that assists in raising awareness for executives regarding how often others observe them expressing key leadership behaviors. It is a brief but powerful assessment that is accompanied by a development planner to assist in focusing the executive's development efforts along with coaching work to help them stay on track and make it stick.

Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI)

How do you deal with conflict? Are you successful at coming to a resolution or do you end up in a train wreck? Learn about and master different conflict handling styles to manage through roadblocks and keep progress and results on track. We’ll work together to raise awareness in you and build ways you can adapt your style to manage conflict situations successfully.

Pearson-Marr Archetype Inventory® (PMAI)

What stories do you tell yourself? What is a favorite tale that you tell and how does it shape how you see the world? I’ll be your guide on this fascinating and highly revealing exploration which shows which of the 12 main archetypes are strongest in you. This instrument based on the archetypes described by Carl Jung and developed in the PMAI by Pearson and Marr is a highly effective way to understand what stories you are living and how they effect what you do in the external world as well as drive the choices you make. Great for leaders, up and coming managers and senior executives who want to ramp up their effectiveness.

California Psychological Inventory™(CPI 260®) Asssessment

Develop your own leadership edge as well as your team’s. Grow new managers and build a strong executive team that will be more adept at driving results and leading people regardless of external circumstances. I will use the results to collaborate with you in building on your strengths and exploring those areas of improvement.

Coping Resources Inventory

Got stress? We all do. This inventory will hold up a mirror that will reflect your coping resources. I will show you what they are, what is the strength level of those resources and what is the impact of these levels on your ability to cope effectively with stress. We will then work together to build those resources that you find effective when dealing with tough times.

Work/Life Values Inventory

Having balance and authenticity in your whole life is critically important to good decision-making, low stress, and effective leadership not to mention job and life satisfaction. I will collaborate with you to see how your values line up in your work life and personal life and how you can achieve equilibrium in both.

Career Factors Inventory

Stuck in your job search? This inventory will help you identify where the roadblocks are and areas where clarity is lacking. I will work with you to find that clarity and focus on helping you create action plans to get what you need to be able to see a clear path to your next career move.
